OnePlus 10 Pro Is Now Getting Stable Android 13 Update – Android Headlines

OnePlus has managed to trump Samsung, and started rolling out a stable Android 13 build to one of its smartphones. As you may have guessed, Android 13 is now rolling out to the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company’s flagship handset.

This is a truly fast turnaround by the company, as it shared the first OxygenOS 13 Open Beta build not that long ago. OxygenOS 13 is, of course, based on Android 13. Just to make that clear.

The OnePlus 10 Pro becomes second non-Google phone to get stable Android 13

The OnePlus 10 Pro just became the very second non-Google smartphone to receive a stable Android 13 build. It follows the OPPO Find X5 Pro, which started receiving the update recently. Those two phones come from sister companies, both of which are owned by BBK Electronics. They also jointly develop software, and there are a lot of similarities there, so it’s not exactly surprising that both are already receiving Android 13.

We do hope that this build is not buggy, though. OnePlus, unfortunately, did something similar in the past. We hope that this update is not as buggy as some previous ones (on other phones).

Do note that this update is rolling out to all global builds of the phone, by the way. It’s coming to the European, Indian, and North American models of the phone. The update is rolling out in stages, which means it could take a bit of time before your phone gets it.

OnePlus shared a gigantic changelog, which you can check out here. The company issued a lot of changes with Android 13 and OxygenOS 13, and it did its best to make you aware of all of them. Well, at least of all the major ones.

This update delivers ‘Aquamorphic Design’ to the OnePlus 10 Pro

This update brings the so-called ‘Aquamorphic Design’ to the table, something we’ve seen on the OPPO Find X5 Pro. You’re getting all new animations as part of it, along with various different parts of the UI.

The Quantum Animation Engine has been updated to version 4.0, which should make everything feel noticeably smoother. The fonts have been optimized for better readability, while ‘Large Folders’ have been added to the mix.

More markup tools have been added, for screenshot editing, while a Sidebar Toolbox has also been thrown in. The Shelf has been optimized, while the Always-On Display has also been improved.

There are a lot more changes that you can read about via the aforementioned link. Do note that only OxygenOS 13 changes are listed here, you’re also getting general Android 13 changes.

Your phone will let you know once the update is available, though you can also manually check via the ‘Settings’.
